This Sunday a homicide occurred in the town of 18 de Mayo de Canelones, on Caraguatá street and the corner with Germany. The police authorities found a person fallen on the public highway around mid-morning, with several injuries that ended up causing his death, reported the spokesman for the Canelones headquarters, Alejandro Ferreira.
The 22-year-old man had two criminal records, the last of them from the middle of last year for theft. The fact led to the arrest of three people, although during the day two of them were released.
The only detainee is the holder of a shotgun with a percussion cartridge. Police presume that this was the firearm with which he committed the murder. The alleged murderer has no criminal record, according to what was reported by the Headquarters, and must testify on Monday at the Prosecutor’s Office.
