Mexico registered almost 700,000 new Covid-19 infections in July 2022

The Health Secretary (SSa) reported 4,209 new infections of coronavirus and 17 additional deaths this Sunday July 31 as a result of the Covid-19 disease.

According to the agency, Mexico recorded in July a total of 699,967 coronavirus infectionswhile January 2022 is still the month with the highest number of cases registered in the year: 952,003 infections.

At the cut of this Sunday, July 31, Mexico already accumulates a total of 6 million 758,656 positive cases of Covid-19 and 327,730 deaths from the virus.

The Ministry of Health said that until this Sunday at the end of July they have detected 168,516 active cases of Covid-19 in all the country.

Most of these cases are in the Mexico CityColima, Baja California Sur, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Coahuila, Tlaxcala, Sinaloa, Nuevo León and Aguascalientes, in that order.

In Mexico City there are 34,371 active infections. The Mexico state presents 13,955 infections, followed by Nuevo León and Guanajuato, with more than 10,000 cases each.

In the last five weeks, the majority of active cases of Covid-19 in Mexico are present in the 18-29-year-old groups, followed by the 30-39-year-old group and 40-49-year-olds.
