Oatmeal is one of the most complete and healthy cereals, it is very high in protein, carbohydrates and has also been shown to help regulate blood sugar levels. Today we share two recipes with and without oven to prepare it.
- 80 grams of oat flakes
- 200ml skim milk
- 75 ml coconut oil or light butter
- 50 grams of brown sugar
- 2 eggs L
- 180 grams whole grain oatmeal
- 16 grams of baking powder
- Cinnamon to taste
- 100 gr of diced apple
In a small bowl, put the milk and coconut oil and mix well. Add the oat flakes and let them hydrate for half an hour. In another bowl, beat the eggs together with the sugar, until doubled in size. As it takes little time to prepare, we can preheat the oven to 180º. Add the mixture of oat flakes and beat. Sift the oatmeal and baking powder and add it little by little, continuing to mix. Finally, add the chopped apple and mix with a spatula to distribute it well throughout the dough. Divide the mixture into muffin tins, lined with paper. Bake at 180º for about 35 min, with heat up and down, until we see that they are golden. Let cool completely before tasting.
CEREAL BARS
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cup toasted oatmeal
- 1 cup toasted almonds
- 200 gr of soaked dates without seeds
- 1/4 cup almond cream
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
PREPARATION
In a saucepan, slightly heat the almond cream together with the honey and stir well. Process the dates and mix them with the almond and honey cream. Mix all the ingredients evenly and place them in a tray, crush the mixture well and refrigerate for at least a couple of hours (but overnight is ideal). Cut between 6 and 8 portions. Tip: You can bathe the bars in dark chocolate before cutting them.

CEREAL BARS
There is no specific recipe to prepare cereal bars, because they can have the ingredients that you like the most. Of course, if you would like a crispier result, bake the oatmeal with the rest of the ingredients and a little peanut butter.
OATMEAL MUFFINS
Remember that all ingredients must be at room temperature when preparing the recipe. It is also very important to have the oven hot when you put it in. To unmold easily you can place double paper on each muffin.
