Santa Cruz registers 587 new covid-19 infections on the penultimate day of July

The Departmental Health Service (Headquarters), reported for today a total of 587 new infections of covid-19 distributed in 20 municipalities.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra maintains the highest number of infections with 458 cases, equivalent to 78% of the total in the entire department. The other 19 municipalities report between 1 and 22 cases, respectively.

Likewise, 1,521 people recovered and no deaths were reported due to the disease. While 30 people are in intensive care rooms, and 7 of them are intubated.

Headquarters insists on vaccination to avoid more deaths from covid. For today, 2,851 people were vaccinated both in the city and in the provinces. The Headquarters authorities recommended that the population attend the authorized points this weekend to apply the booster doses.
