A new confrontation due to disputes over subjugated properties was registered again in the area of Las Londras (Guarayos province), precisely in the properties that the community members of the Pailitas sub-central protect, which try to be taken by enslavers, again.
A community member from Pailitas confirmed to EL DEBER that the “violent” invaders surrounded them, so they had to leave the placer where they camped to protect themselves and not be injured or kidnapped, as happened in the two previous confrontations where there was even a gunshot wound.
“There was another confrontation, we are hidden, we have placed ourselves under guard. They have already surrounded the other companionsbut we are going to defend ourselves,” denounced the community member who preferred to keep his identity confidential.
A video reflects the moment of tension in which the community members find themselves, where the noise of motorcycles is heard and they are waiting “for the worst not to happen.” “This happened half an hour ago (around 8:00 p.m.), there is a lot of tension,” the man stressed.
He also denounced that the police contingent that arrived at the Las Londras properties to carry out operations and find the invaders withdrew from the place, despite the fact that they had been present toto check that the invaders do not have possession of firearms and in search of the aggressors who wounded a community member from Pailitas with a gun shot.
Moreover, the interviewee recalled that It was of little or no use that the commission of police and prosecutors will arrive at the conflicting property, since the invaders were not evicted, and even the peasants of the Pailitas sub-central who were evicted by the “land grabbers”, have not been able to recover their belongings, including vehicles.
Last weekend, July 23, the first confrontation was recorded, the date on which a man was kidnapped, beaten, tied up, but released under the condition of not returning to the disputed properties. And, the second incident occurred on Thursday, July 28, when the peasants of Pailitas tried to return to the farms to retrieve their belongings, but they were unable to do so as they were met with bullets.
Thus, one of the community members was wounded by a bullet, the same one who was transferred to a medical center in Hardeman, where they provided assistance. The attack was captured by the cameras of a drone, a moment when the peasants are seen running from one side to the other fleeing from the armed invaders.
