The National Penitentiary and Prison Institute, Inpec reported that on Friday, July 29, a prisoner escaped from La Picota prison in Bogotá.
The prisoner was identified as Deimer Sánchez Montejo, alias ‘Meme’ and escaped through one of the cells that was under construction, through a duct. For its part, the Attorney General’s Office asked the director of Inpec, Brigadier General Tito Castellanos, for a report on the events surrounding a new escape from the prison.

“Please submit an official report about the events, specifying the circumstances of time, manner and place of the event; submit the procedure manuals that govern the development of the activity of receiving persons deprived of liberty; send the list of the personnel of the custody and surveillance body that was in charge of the procedure in which the escape took place, “said the Attorney General’s Office.

Deimer Sánchez Montejo, alias ‘Meme’, has a sentence of 24 years and 4 months for the crime of conspiracy to commit a crime.
According to court records, your name appears in the investigation carried out by the Attorney General’s Office on the massacre of El Tarra, in Norte de Santander, event that occurred on July 30, 2018 and in which 10 people died, including four former Farc combatants and a social leader.
