The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) paid a posthumous tribute to Reinaldo Pared Pérez, general secretary ad vitam of that political organization in a ceremony held in the Welcome Sandoval Great Hall of the National House.
Likewise, the National House was designated with the name of the deceased political leader, within the acts of commemoration of the 48th anniversary of the founding of that political organization.
The central act of celebration was headed by the president of the organization and former president of the Republic Danilo Medina, together with the secretary general, Charles Mariotti and the members of the Political Committee, who presented a plaque in posthumous recognition to Reinaldo Pared Pérez, which was received by his brother Siegfried.
After unveiling the sign located in the front of the building headquarters of the purple party and that reads “National House of the PLD Reinaldo Pared Pérez”, former president Danilo Medina along with the attendees went to the reception of the same, where they discovered a portrait of the deceased secretary general, located in the reception room next to a plaque with his name.
Sigfrido Pared Pérez, spoke on behalf of the Pared Pérez family and thanked the recognition. He highlighted the qualities of his brother, after indicating that he dedicated his life to the party founded by Professor Juan Bosch.
Reinaldo Pared Pérez stood out in the work of councilor of the National District City Council, deputy and senator of the Republic, occupying the presidency of the Upper House on several occasions.

Other recognized senior leaders are the members of the Advisory Council of the purple party, Alma Fernández, José Tomás Pérez, Félix (Felucho) Jiménez, Robert de la Cruz and Mildred Guzmán. In the same way, the contributions of Fernando Báez Pozo, former head of the Secretary of Acts and Security; Wilton Guerrero, former head of the Secretariat of Peasant Organizations; Flavia García, former head of the Secretariat for Women and Maribel Acosta, Deputy Secretary General.
The commemoration of the 48th anniversary began in the morning with the raising of the National and PLD flags. Simultaneously, activities were carried out in the provincial, municipal and sectional committees, including meetings, encounters, talks, conferences and religious ceremonies, among others.
Euclid suggests fighting adversaries
Euclides Gutiérrez Félix, member of the Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), considered that the entity is in a difficult moment. The political leader indicated that, while errors are being analyzed and corrected, the fight against adversaries who try to harm the PLD must be waged, proclaiming that in politics “the fight is fighting.” He said they must fight “against liars, slanderers, and ignorant.”
