Eduardo Quirós: ‘Whoever aspires to a candidacy for free application should not be registered in a party’

In Quirós’s opinion, this simply demonstrates the state of putrefaction of politics, “I feel that the independent deputies have shown that different politics can be done.”

Eduardo Quirós, pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic for free nomination, clarified this Friday that whoever aspires to a candidacy for free nomination or as an independent should not be registered in any political party.

He said that the Electoral Code approved by a “corrupt legislative assembly” that every day gives us a new surprise and new scandals allows those who are registered in parties and even members of their leadership, even even presidents of political parties, to aspire for the independent route, which limits because the law establishes that there will only be three boxes available for independents.

In Quirós’s opinion, this simply demonstrates the state of putrefaction of politics, “I feel that the independent deputies have shown that different politics can be done.”

“It seems to me that the Electoral Court has a huge challenge to solve this situation; one of the few institutions and these crises that we have been experiencing in recent weeks demonstrate it, there is a huge crisis of unconstitutionality, that crisis is very much based on the fact that institutions do not do their job or ensure respect for the law,” he said.
