Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez pointed out that the British Supreme Court imposed the anachronistic doctrine of a single voice to dispossess and retain Venezuela’s gold, and described as unusual and disastrous the decision to ignore the legitimate authorities of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) , and prevent the Venezuelan authorities from making use of their gold reserves deposited in the Bank of England.
Given this, he announced that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, will soon present to the world convincing evidence of this illegitimate dispossession.
These statements by the Vice President come after learning that the justice of the United Kingdom insisted on denying this Friday the Venezuelan State’s request for access to the reserves of this important asset of the Republic, which have been held in the Bank of England since 2019.
“I must inform you that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has in his hands convincing evidence that will be shown in the coming days,” Rodríguez remarked through a phone contact with Venezuelan Television.
For the Vice President, such a decision “is subject, subordinated and gagged to the decisions of the British crown. This court appealed to an anachronistic doctrine of one voice, a strategy used to steal our assets. The damage caused to our people is serious,” said the Vice President.
This Friday’s ruling by British justice “does not correspond to any type of judicial control, all this fiction created by a fictitious government headed by the criminal Juan Guaidó, has been to dispossess Venezuela and the Venezuelan people of their gold, of their international reserves”.
In this sense, the Vice President of the Republic stressed that Venezuela categorically rejects the ruling of the British court, regarding the gold illegally confiscated by the Bank of England.
He explained that this decision arises “as a result of this plan to steal the country’s reserves, a situation known to the international community, since Venezuela went to international courts to correct this action.”
central bank
The Executive Vice President recalled that, in the past, the BCV gave in custody some gold reserves to the Bank of England and this organization “decided to keep the gold of the Venezuelans.”
Given this situation, the BCV went to the British courts to correct this action, however, the decision of the British justice system in which they appealed to the doctrine of one voice is clear.
He added that the Central Bank of Venezuela will go to all international bodies against “this terrible, disastrous, unusual and intemperate decision,” as announced by the institution this Friday through a release.
“The Central Bank of Venezuela rejects the unusual pronouncement of a British court, which once again, subordinated to the foreign policy decisions of the British Crown, undermines the legitimate powers of administration of the international reserves of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which, constitutionally and legally corresponds to be exercised by the Central Bank of Venezuela”, refers the document.
In this regard, the Vice President reiterated: “Venezuela will go to all the instances that have to go and also President Maduro has powerful proof that he will show the world about this illegitimate dispossession of the Venezuelan people.”
call for correction
Given the decision of the British Court, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez called on the UK authorities to rectify and adhere to the Charter of the United Nations.
“I call on the British government, they have the opportunity to rectify, not to continue with this farce that Juan Guaidó is the president of a country, he is not and will never be, the Venezuelan people know it and he does not he enjoys her affection,” he said.
He reiterated that the false government of Juan Guaidó calls for crime, for a blockade, so the Venezuelan people do not support these actions.
In Venezuela there will be justice
Rodríguez emphasized that other countries have called in concerned about the dispossession of this important asset of the nation.
“The Central Banks of other countries have communicated with us concerned about the reserves they have in the Bank of England, this decision leaves a lot to say about them,” he said.
The countries want to know details of the case, “because they know that the same thing can happen to them, we have made this alert and we will continue in battle defending the interests, dignity, gold and heritage of all Venezuelans.”
“Here all kinds of regulations have been violated, basic rules, nobody will want to invest in the Bank of England, after the decision protected by a court that is handled with orders from the British crown,” he added.
“Politically in Venezuela there will be justice, before this criminal and fascist group that has taken on the task of stealing the assets of the people,” stressed the Executive Vice President, while adding: “Let there be no doubt.”
One world view
For Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, “there are authoritarian states that seek to impose a vision of the world, countries that are currently suffering from economic recession,” for example the United States.
Given this, he called for rectification and correction, “to move towards unity in accordance with international rights.”
He stressed that the Venezuelan State will continue to protect the rights of the people, “the way is the defense of sovereignty, self-determination and common happiness, in this bicentennial era, therefore I do not doubt the victory and prosperity of all the Venezuelan people.”
