Immigration officials are accused of not notifying the entry of the narco-pastor Insfrán

María del Carmen Guex and Carlos Gustavo Giacummo, after testifying for more than two hours, were finally charged with the acts of obstruction of the criminal investigation. Now both officials are at the disposal of the Duty Guarantees criminal court, before whom the hearing for the imposition of measures will be held.

According to the investigations, María del Carmen would be the one who did not alert the entry of Insfrán and Carlos Gustavo the one who erased the arrest warrant, which is why both will now face criminal proceedings.

The prosecutor pointed out that after knowing the fact of Pastor Insfrán’s admission, they went to the Migration headquarters to verify how the system for the entry of people into the country works and confirmed that it was impossible for the two officials not to have realized that by admitting the narco-pastor who himself had an arrest warrant.

In addition, it was found that María del Carmen Guex and Carlos Gustavo Giacummo conspired not to notify the authorities of the presence of a person with an arrest warrant, which is why they were charged. Prosecutor Ledezma also pointed out that it is not ruled out that with the running of the investigations there will be more accused.

There is no record of cameras on the Paraguayan side of José Insfrán, but the prosecutor pointed out that they are going to ask Immigration on the Argentine side if they have any image of the man who entered the country and confirm that it is the narco-pastor.

This case began on July 8 when the narco-pastor José Insfrán, prosecuted for drug trafficking, money laundering and criminal association and who has had an international arrest warrant since March in the framework of the “A Ultranza py” case, but entered the country doing the migratory process in Puerto Falcón and was not alerted of his arrest request.
