In the chapter on tributes, several senators such as Carlos Filizzola, Hugo Richer, Silvio “Beto” Ovelar, among others, gathered in ordinary session, before the Plenary Session of the Upper House, intervened for a posthumous distinction to Humberto Rubín; journalist with vast experience, owner director of Radio Ñanduti, who, after his death on Monday, July 25, leaves an important legacy to the new generations of communicators.
Hermelinda Alvarenga de Ortega remarked that Humberto Rubín contributed to the fight for press freedom and human rights and was one of the passionate journalists who led more than 1,400 programs in various media.
