Santo Domingo.-The president of the Dominican Medical College (cmd), Senén Caba, together with a commission made up of several doctors from the union as well as from the Association of Owners of Private Clinics and Hospitals, (ANDECLIP), community members from the Padre Billini hospital area will attend a meeting this Thursday night called by the Vice President of the Republic Raquel Peña in her capacity as head of the Health Cabinet.
According to a statement, at the meeting, scheduled for 7:00 p.m., a counterproposal prepared by the Health authorities will be discussed as a way to reach a consensus about the demands of the medical union and the representatives of andeclipwho on Wednesday marched to the Palace to demand their rights.

The CMD has expressed from the beginning that “it has never been closed to dialogue” according to the union president’s own words.
Caba expressed that “as long as it comes to finding a way out of the pressing health problems that affect our doctors and especially the health of our population, we will be willing to agree.”
This Thursday at noon cmdthrough its National Board of Directors, gave the health authorities a waiting period, so that the claims of the doctors are attended.
“Health cannot be privatized by the big financial sector; hospitals like Luis Eduardo Aybar and Padre Billini cannot be administered by boards, which respond to the financial sector. Primary care services cannot fall into the privatization of health”, Caba had said.
