According to the salary scale of the parliamentary service (SP), established by the Board of Directors Agreement 008-2006-2007, the SP11 salary ranges between S/ 12,391 and S/ 13,637.
According to the Congress website, the maximum remuneration scale in the parliamentary organization (offices, commissions and benches) is SP10 (between S/ 10,012 and S/ 11,021). Only 28 trusted workers are at that level.

The Board of Directors chaired by Alva Prieto, in the recitals, says that the former presidents of Congress deserve this benefit because, it says, “they have invaluable expertise in the work of the national Parliament.”
