Witness denounces a former MAS councilor for the case "ghost items"

A new witness appeared this Thursday at the Prosecutor’s Office to testify and present evidence in the case of ghost items at the Mayor’s Office of Santa Cruz. The person, who requested anonymity, indicated that the former councilor of the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) Juan José Castedo would be involved in the case.

“I cannot say my name because these people run shock groups, I have seen. The meetings were at the offices of ‘Percy’s friends’ in the second ring, ex-immigration. They have been working for many years, ”the witness reported.

He said that this type of agreement has been carried out for years and that they proposed to put a vehicle in his name or “be white stick”, but then they offered him a job in the Mayor’s Office.

“They told me that there are weighty people in the Mayor’s Office. They invited me to the offices and that’s where they made me the contract, doctor (Juan José) C. ”, he said.

In that system, Antonio Parada, the main investigator in this case and a fugitive from justice, took him to the offices of the second ring, he said.

“First they said that the first salary went to the group” Percy’s friends “, we had to be part of the following salaries, campaign and did not know how we were going to get paid. They never gave me the money ”, he assured.

In recent days, Julio Herbas, the former official of the Santa Cruz Mayor’s Office and the first detainee in the case of the ghost items, pointed out to the former MAS councilor, reported El Deber. Castedo was a substitute councilor in the 2010-2015 term.

The witness, who presented the documentation to the Santa Cruz Prosecutor’s Office, said that in a single day 200 people signed contracts. The witness related that first he had to sign with a cooperative and then the contracts “that were not seen.”

“According to the profession we had, there were salaries of nine thousand.”

Parada is wanted by the Bolivian Police for the alleged creation of more than 800 ghost items in the Mayor’s Office of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. On Wednesday the government reported that the accused escaped to Corumbá, Brazil.
