Live |  Abinader enacts Domain Extinction Law

The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, promulgates this Thursday the recently approved lLaw of Domain Forfeiture during a ceremony at Government House.

The controversial piece, which had been in the National Congress for 12 years, aims to recover for the State the assets that have been obtained illegally, especially those resulting from drug trafficking and money laundering.

The act takes place in the Las Cariátides hall of the National Palace.

The Domain Forfeiture Law it was unanimously approved yesterday, Tuesday, in the Senate of the Republic in two consecutive readings, after being returned to that chamber by the Chamber of Deputies, where the legislators made 40 modifications.
