Two individuals allegedly involved in the murder of a small agricultural producer were arrested by Cicpc officials.
The victim in this case is José de los Santos Caicedo, 73 years old, who lived in the San Juan sector, El Rosario de Perijá, Zulia, as reported by the Cicpc. The alleged perpetrators of the murder were identified as Ely Raúl Pirela Nava (20) and José Emilio Paz Acosta (21).
The criminals broke into the house of José de los Santos with the purpose of stealing some bovine specimens. To do this, they subdued the owner of the cattle and drowned him by inserting several pieces of cloth into his mouth, which caused his death on the spot.
The alleged murderers were handed over to the Public Ministry.
In another event, a 13-year-old teenager and her 17-year-old boyfriend attacked the girl’s mother with a knife, an incident that occurred in the San Francisco de Asis II sector, El Tigre (Anzoátegui), according to police reports. María Laura Santaella Yánez (39), the teenager’s mother, was stabbed 13 times.
The boyfriends were interrogated by Cicpc agents before whom they confessed that they tried to kill the lady because she did not accept the boy as her daughter’s partner, the sources said.
