The National Assembly (AN) will appoint and swear in the new general public defender of the Nation, during its ordinary session on July 26, the parliamentary entity reported in its usual agenda.
The act will take place after the Judicial Nominations Committee presented to the plenary the 10 eligible candidates to occupy the position of public defender, in accordance with the provisions of articles 11, 12 and 13 of the Organic Law of Public Defense, reports the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
On the other hand, the Venezuelan parliament will discuss, in this same session, the Draft Agreement to Commemorate the 239th anniversary of the birth of the Liberator, Simón Bolívarthe 119 years of the Naval Battle of Lake Maracaibo and the Day of the National Armed Forces.
In addition, the assembly members will address the Draft Agreement in Celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Meeting between the Liberator Simón Bolívar and the General of the Armies of the South, José de San Martín.
The session is scheduled for this Tuesday afternoon, in the Protocol Chamber of the Federal Legislative Palace, Caracas.
