Santo Domingo.- According to the complaints made by the Dominican Medical College and residents of the Padre Billini hospital about a possible privatization of this hospital, the deputy of the People’s Force (FP), Juliana O’neal, stated that it is unacceptable that it contemplate this possibility, in addition to the fact that it would be another attempt to dehumanize health.
Through a series of tweets, the deputy said: “IT IS UNACCEPTABLE that the possibility of handing over the Padre Billini hospital to a patronage or any group that removes it from the public health network is being contemplated.”
In this context, he added: “History has taught us with very painful facts, that this widens the gap that exists between the poor and an accessible and quality health service. I hope this is just a very bad rumor and not another attempt to dehumanize health.”

“What we do demand is the rapid opening of Father Billini’s services, because his patients, for consultation and internment, are at the Rosa Emilia Sánchez Pérez National Cancer Institute in
Tavares (INCART), which causes an overflow of its physical plant and becomes a risk to the health of both groups”, said the legislator.
