With Cochabamba as the epicenter of the fifth wave of Covid-19 This Wednesday Bolivia reached 6,426 positive cases of coronavirus, while four people lost their lives due to the deadly virus.
Cochabamba was the most affected department with 1,992 cases, followed by Santa Cruz who reported 1,592. They are followed: La Paz with 1,160, Tarija with 528, Chuquisaca with 481, Potosí with 282, Oruro with 231, Beni with 92 and Pando with 68 cases add up to 6,426 patients who tested positive for Covid-19.
With those data, the country had 1,020,678 patients that they contracted the disease in the 28 months that the pandemic has already been going on; while the number of deceased has already reached 22,036 compatriots who lost their lives.
The figures are leading the authorities to suspend formal acts anniversary of the country on August 6, when parades and rallies are held throughout the country. Celebration without parades is the slogan that is gaining ground.
The queues of people seeking a test in capital cities, mainly, they begin to grow every day and in the seat of Government the medical leave for Covid-19 is no longer applied. Many public officials who fell ill only had up to three days of leave and then must return to work with all protective measures.
In the case of recovered patients who were the most until two weeks ago now remain below 2,000 cases. This Wednesday there were 1,969 people who defeated the virus.
Holy Cross 918, Cochabamba 376, Chuquisaca 341, Potosí 115, La Paz 113, Tarija 67, Oruro 35, Pando four and Beni did not register any recovered, which added 1,969 patients who left the critical state of the disease. Thus, the country reached 930,013 people in total, recovered.
