Santa Cruz reports 1,592 infections and two deaths from covid on the last Wednesday of July

According to the epidemiological report on the situation of covid-19 in Santa Cruz, for this Wednesday the Departmental Health Service (Headquarters) reported 1,592 new positive cases in the region, distributed in 42 municipalities of Santa Cruz.

The laboratories processed 5,712 tests, giving a positivity rate of 29%. The city of Santa Cruz concentrates 80% of the new infections (1,267). The other municipalities register between 48 and one case, respectively.

Also, on this day 918 patients overcame the disease and two people lost their lives due to complications of the virus.

It was also reported that 31 people with the virus are hospitalized in the different therapy rooms, of which 14 are assisted with an artificial respirator.

On the other hand, the Headquarters report realizes that today 6,750 doses were applied between the first, second, third to the different age groups throughout the department.
