The governor of the Miranda state, Héctor Rodríguez, stressed that the meeting between Simón Bolívar and José de San Martín represented the union of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples.
During his participation in The cBolívar and San Martín International Symposium: Bicentennial of the Guayaqu InterviewYoheorganized by the Simón Bolívar Study Center in Caracas, Rodríguez specified: “Only united will we have enough strength (to win).”
He recalled that El Libertador wrote it in some of his letters when he convened the Panamanian Congress and called for a united army with Central and South America to liberate the islands of Cuba and Puerto Rico, which was what they lacked.

The Bolívar and San Martín International Colloquium: Bicentennial of the Guayaquil interview, was installed last July 25 at the Theater of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian National Guard and continues this Tuesday to exchange knowledge about the emblematic determining interview in the history of Latin America.
