The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, received the Foreign Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, on Wednesday to deepen the ties of binational cooperation.
The bilateral meeting was held at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Yellow house Antonio José de Sucre, in the center of Caracas.
The meeting was also attended by the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations of Venezuela, Carlos Faría, and diplomatic representatives of both delegations.
During his visit, the Foreign Minister of Qatar intends to strengthen cooperation ties with Venezuela, regarding the more than 20 projects, cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries.
Earlier, he held a meeting with Foreign Minister Carlos Faría.
Foreign Minister Abdulrahman Al Thani arrived in Venezuela on the night of Tuesday, July 26, from the Simón Bolívar International Airport of Maiquetía, in La Guaira, where he was received by the sectoral vice president for Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, and the Venezuelan diplomatic corps.
On June 15, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on his Eurasian and North African tour, met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and reviewed the cooperative agenda in economic matters , with a view to expanding exchanges in the area of air transport and hydrocarbons.
Venezuela and Qatar maintain agreements in important areas such as tourism, energy and agriculture.
