Arosemena urged parents to limit or ration a little the use and access to technology that does not enrich education, to take time to read them a book, some comprehensive reading.
Almost three weeks of classes have been lost hundreds of students in the country due to the current crisis that Panama is facing with street closures and protests, which causes severe damage to student learning.
According to the clinical psychologist, Gabriela Arosemena, this new interruption in face-to-face classes affects the mental health of students, without detracting from the legitimate struggle of teachers and all citizens.
He considered that inconsistencies in the educational system have academic consequences. “Education continues to be a human right and we have to see how this issue is handled. There must be a mechanism by Meduca to replenish these classes and raise the academic level,” said the specialist.
