The National Mining Company (Enami) became the first state company to obtain the “40 Hours Seal” granted by the Government to all companies that apply the reduction in weekly working hours.
Enami reported that “the measure will come into force on August 1 in a standardized manner for all our workers assigned to ordinary working hours and/or with administrative positions, who represent more than 60% of our staff.”
In addition, they indicated that the initiative will seek to “contribute to an environment that facilitates the balance of work responsibilities with the families and personal interests” of the workers.
The activity was attended by the Minister of Labor, Jeannette Jara; the government spokeswoman, Camila Vallejo, and the Mining Minister, Marcela Hernando, who presented the “40 Hours Seal” to Enami’s Executive Vice President, Jaime Pérez de Arce.
