Santiago.- The escalation of violence in this city continues and two young people were shot dead in the last few hours. One of them after a car crash and the other due to old personal grudges.
The victims are Daniel Bautista Pichardo Peña and Anyelo Peña Cárdenas, nicknamed “El Flaco”, 33 and 31 years old, who lived in Los Cocos de Jacagua and in the municipal district of La Canela, respectively.
In the first event, which has dismayed the community of Santiago, which occurred on the Jacagua highway on the corner of Avenida Salvador Estrella Sadhalá, Daniel Bautista Pichardo Peña was shot dead.
According to the preliminary versions of witnesses and relatives, the bloody event occurred after the deceased’s vehicle was hit from behind and this, in turn, hit a third party in the same way.

The National Police has in its possession the victimizer’s car and there are two people identified around the crime.
While in relation to the case of the Municipal District of La Canela, the preliminary report establishes that it occurred due to old personal quarrels between alleged criminals, who engage in dark maneuvers.
The Central Cibao Regional Directorate of the National Police investigates the death of these two people, due to firearm injuries, which occurred in the last 24 hours in Santiago and will respond to each case, within the appropriate time.
