Balance covid-19: 293 new cases were registered in Venezuela

Venezuela added 293 new covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began in the country to 533,195, reported the Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez.

“862 days after the pandemic in Venezuela, we report that during the last 24 hours the country registered 293 cases, 287 due to community transmission and 6 imported,” said Ñáñez in Twitter.

The minister explained that of the 6 imported cases, 4 come from Panama and 2 from the Dominican Republic, all with entry through La Guaira.

While the entities that added the most infections were Aragua with 83, Carabobo with 78, Caracas with 57, Yaracuy with 27 and Miranda with 26.

Ñáñez assured that no deaths were reported today due to the pandemic.

Of the total of 533,195 confirmed cases, only 4,682 are active, as 522,756 people have recovered and 5,757 have died, according to the government.
