They highlight reduction of insecurity

Leading the second match in Santiago of “Government in the Provinces“, officials highlighted the progress of the works that are executed from the state as well as the reduction of levels of unsafety citizen.

The activity, which was carried out in all the provinces of the country, sought to continue advancing in the solution of the problems that affect the population, under the mandate of President Luis Abinader.

Representatives of different neighborhood associations of the province were present.

Among those who ran out of shifts is the director of the Central Cibao Regional Police Command, General Claudio González Moquete, who reported on the actions carried out by that institution for the return of calm.

He stated that both in the southern zone and in the other sectors of this demarcation, assaults, robberies and other criminal acts have greatly diminished, as a result of increased patrols and other initiatives.

Moquete cited, among other achievements of his administration, the recovery of 128 firearms held by criminals, the dismantling of 158 points of controlled substances occupying 1,105 portions, as well as the delivery of undocumented Haitians to the Migration Directorate.

Meanwhile, Dr. Manuel Lora Perelló, director of the North Central Region of the National Health Service (SNS), reported on the intervention of the Tamboril, Villa González and Navarrete hospitals.

“We are also working on the construction of a new center in San José de Las Matas and the renovation of other hospitals, polyclinics and medical clinics to continue providing better service to patients,” he said.

The architect Alexis Sosa, provincial director of the Ministry of Public Works, recalled that in addition to the cable car, the monorail and the entrance to the city, the State is working on the construction of streets and other works in the southern zone, Gurabo, Jacagua and Mount Inside.

“We are working in the Las Palomas and Monte Adentro communities in Licey al Medio, among other communities,” the official said.
