A man is convicted of internal arms trafficking

A 47-year-old man received a substitute prison sentence after being found guilty of carrying out internal firearms trafficking operations.

The investigation of the case was carried out by the Department of Information and Internal Liaison of the General Directorate of Information and Intelligence of the National Police. The investigation detected several posts on a social network where a man offered firearms and ammunition.

The intelligence tasks carried out made it possible to identify the administrator of the network profile, who lived in the Pinewood, cannelloni. With the information collected, a raid was carried out on the subject’s house, which took place in recent days.

During the intervention, the Police managed to seize two revolvers, a 14 mm caliber shotgun, a 22 caliber rifle, a pistol and 218 cartridges of different calibers.

Likewise, at the time, the 47-year-old LMPJ with no criminal record was arrested. Finally, after completing the judicial process, he was sentenced as criminally responsible for repeated crimes of internal trafficking in firearms. For this crime he must serve a sentence of eight months in prison on probation.
