Authorities of the Itapúa National Police confirmed this Sunday the discovery of 14-year-old Alfredo Benítez Ocampos alive.
Preliminary data indicates that the young man was found late at night in the Fleitas Cue area, a few kilometers from where he had been last seen.
The teenager had been taken by force by a group of criminals, presumably members of the UPP, during a home assault perpetrated on Wednesday in the Settlement 12 de Julio in San Pedro del Paraná.
Upon arriving at the residence, the criminals pointed a gun at the people who were there and forced them to hand over their valuables, in addition to the sum of G. 2 million in cash that they had stored.
The teenager would have arrived by his own means at the police station in the area after being released by his captors, although the details of his release remain to be known.
