The Cuban orchestras Van Van and the Septeto Santiaguero headed the bill for the Villa de Teror Latin Festival, which ended yesterday on the stages of Gran Canaria, Spain.
The Septeto Santiaguero, one of the most representative groups of traditional Cuban music, offered concerts in different spaces of the city, including the concert hall called the Malecón de La Habana.
For its part, the legendary Van Van orchestra was in charge of closing the festival with a concert this Saturday as part of the 50th Anniversary tour, which it performs through various countries in Europe and Latin America.
The program of this Latin music festival, organized by the Culture and Celebrations area of the Teror City Council, featured the performance of several Canarian and Cuban musicians such as La Mayork Dj Kevin RG, La Golosina and Dj Bembé. It also hosted bachata and salsa workshops, as well as dance classes.
After their participation in the event, Los Van Van and the Septeto Santiaguero continue to fulfill various international commitments, in which they continue to represent the thrust of Cuban music around the world and its anchorage among dancers and followers of the island’s sonara culture. .
