Ministry of the Interior warned Cartes about a death threat against him
The Ministry of the Interior confirmed through a statement that it informed the former president, Horacio Cartes, of the death threat against him.
The head of the ministry, Federico González, approximately 45 days ago, on the instructions of Mario Abdo Benítez, was the one who notified the former president of the intelligence information on his security.
According to what is detailed by the state portfolio, the data came from a reliable source and all the corresponding preventive measures were taken.
“SIGNIFICANTLY CORRUPT”
The news was echoed by the recently designated “significantly corrupt” by the United States Government, in a political act. Cartes, affirmed that the minister himself gave notice of the intention.
“Notice of assassinations that took me to my private home, on two occasions, nothing more and nothing less than the current Minister of the Interior,” he said in the city of Guairá.
