At the start of the third date of the Closing Tournament, Sportivo Ameliano rediscovered the victory by defeating Tacuary 2-0 in the Jara neighborhood classic, played this Saturday at the Martín Torres stadium in Trinidad.
Those led by Humberto García, locals at the Sportivo Trinidense court, took the initiative in the game and managed to go ahead on the scoreboard in the 19th minute through Diego Barreto, who took advantage of an ugly defensive error by ‘Tacua’ to sign the 1-0.
Just a couple of minutes later, at 21′, the Brazilian Igor Ribeiro was sent off for a double warning, leaving Tacuary with 10 players with a long stretch ahead.
The numerical difference was noticeable in the development, with Ameliano generating several dangerous situations in attack in the rest of the first half but in that period he did not know how to take advantage.
It was not until the 76th minute of the game that another imbalance appeared. Pablo Zeballos, entered as a replacement, sent a good cross against the visiting area and Alex Arce, with a header, sentenced the final 2-0.
With this result, Sportivo Ameliano reached 6 points in the Clausura and reached the 1,000 average, surpassing Tacuary in that table that will determine two relegations at the end of the season.
Iván Almeida’s team, with the defeat, lowered its average to 0.920 and also continues without being able to score goals in the current tournament, in which it has only 1 point.
