Fire in Gamarra: offending companies could face fines of more than S/ 240,000, Sunafil pointed out

Víctor Loyola, Superintendent of Sunafil, referred to the fire that occurred yesterday in Gamarra and pointed out that today a specialized team is going to collect all the information to find out the causes of the incident. In addition, that the fines for offending companies could be up to more than S / 240,000.

“The fines that could be generated by these breaches will vary depending on the degree of infraction found (in Gamarra) and the type of company, these can be between S/ 12,000 and more than S/ 240,000″He said in an interview with RPP.

In this context, Loyola said that yesterday after receiving the fire alert, a specialized team was sent to intervene in Gamarra, “but given the situation in which the fire had to be controlled first, we could not enter to see what the causes were. that caused this work accident.

However, today that same team would be at the accident site to be able to find the origin of the fire.

“Since the beginning of management, what we have been doing in the conglomerates (such as Gamarra and Mesa Redonda) is to install permanent teams three times a week in order to have safer environments,” he added.

On the other hand, the Sunafil superintendent reported that a promotion contest will be held at the end of September, so that the best professionals can be part of the labor inspection team.

“It is important to strengthen, not only with human capital, but also with social and labor regulations”, pointed.

“The approach that we are now giving more than auditing documents, we have to start with the accompaniment and technical advice to entrepreneurs and businessmen so that they not only know the law but also how to comply with it”Loyola concluded.
