Transactions of negotiable invoices totaled more than S/ 13,000 million in the first semester

The reported that, from January to June of this year, 12,080 companies negotiated their invoices to access working capital financing, of which 9,970 were micro and small businesses (mypes).

The head of Produce explained that, by economic sectors, the following stood out: Services, for the benefit of 5,324 companies (87.2% mypes) with a negotiated amount of S/ 3,960 million; Commerce, for the benefit of 3,027 companies (76% mypes) with a negotiated amount of S/ 4,021 million; and manufacturing, to the benefit of 2,370 companies (78.4% mypes) that negotiated S/ 3,349 million and in other sectors, there were 1,359 companies (86.1% mypes) that negotiated for S/ 1,724 million.

It should be noted that, in the first half of the year, there are 11 factoring operators, supervised by the SBS, mainly banks, which negotiated 394,875 invoices for S/ 9,539 million. In addition, 79 non-supervised factoring operators are registered, who offer a differentiated service by providing financing, even to MYPE with low classification or without credit history; These operators negotiated 124,183 invoices for S/ 3,515 million, which represents around 27% of the market.

The owner of the portfolio, Jorge Prado, specified that in the last six years, trading in the factoring market with respect to GDP has grown from 0.05% to 2.55%.

For its part, Cavali, the Central Registry of Securities and Settlements of the Peruvian market, announced that, at the end of the first half of 2022, 570,678 invoices were entered into the Facttrack platform, of which 519,058 (90%) were negotiated for a total amount of S/ 13,054 million, with an average ticket per negotiated invoice of S/ 25,000.

Kenny Gallo, general manager of Cavali, highlighted the growth of almost 40% in the amount negotiated by factoring, and an increase of 21%, in the registration of invoices booked into account, which makes visible the growing interest of more companies for this alternative of financing that ensures working capital in the shortest possible time.

From the Peruvian Factoring Association (APEFAC), they reported that, in this semester, the companies associated with APEFAC, disbursed more than S / 1,500 million, an increase of 26% compared to the first semester of 2021. If this trend continues, they expect an increase 30% for this year.
