The president of the Board of Directors, Gina Diez Barroso, said that García’s appointment represents the appreciation of the talent within the bank and that she hopes that this new character will consolidate the institution in terms of customer service, innovation and competitiveness.
“It is a privilege to assume the general management of Banco Santander in Mexico, where the talent and capacity of the team stands out, to take it to a new level in the face of the challenges of an evolving market and where we have set out to be at the forefront of closeness to the client, innovation in our products, sustainable and responsible banking”, said the new director.
Héctor Grisi Checa, who remains as CEO of the Financial Group, which includes other businesses such as insurance, until the end of 2022, said that the new appointment allows the bank to have a new leadership.
