The Colombian runner finished in the sixth box of the cgeneral classification during the 2022 edition and signed its best participation in the gala competition of the last six years.

Quintana, who was third in 2016 When he ran for Movistar, he had an outstanding participation with the French squad in which he has been a member since 2020.
With 32 years, Nairo ceased to be a fixed guest on the podiums of the Tour from 2017. In that season, the one from Cómbita, afflicted by internal problems of the telephone companies, concluded in box 12.
One year later, Quintana finished tenth and then finished eighth in 2019when he ran for the last time with the Movistar.
