This case began after the program “Punto final” broadcast a report in which it was revealed that Gavidia had traveled on a Navy plane with his daughters, ages 11, 15 and 31, to Huánuco for an official activity between the days March 13 and 15 this year.
The National Prosecutor’s Office opened the investigation for alleged embezzlement of use, for which the minister assured that he will make himself available to any procedure.
In an interview, Gavidia acknowledged the trip and commented that if he committed “some fault or crime”, he “will take it on bravely”.
“I have just been with the prosecutors, I will go where they summon me […] I am ready to receive all the responsibilities that are typified. If I have really committed a fault or a crime, I will assume my responsibilities. It is not fair to work to bring pain to the family,” she added.
