In this way, Lady Camones is in charge of an option that, According to what was discussed by Congressman José Arriola, of Popular Action, exclusively for La República, it would already be “practically closed”, and would have the “backed by Fuerza Popular, of Avanza País, which is classified as a right-wing party. APP not so much (…) because there is a split”.
This division would occur after the struggles for the APP list, which generated the departure of Hector Acuña of the caucus of the party led by his brother Cesar Acuna. Given this, Arriola announced that the list that presents Camones as president, in addition to being crowded, would have the presence of parliamentarians close to Peru Libre, which takes away momentum from the candidacy of the current vice president of Parliament, dividing the preference towards her list.
This rejection has been expressed by George Montoya, who indicated in various statements that he would not support Camones’ list. In that sense, his loud contender, Héctor Acuña, also showed his rejection before a table chaired by a congressman who has integrated the current table.

Democratic Change, Popular Action and Peru Bicentennial
The surprise of Acuña’s entry to the Cambio Democrático bench would have a clear objective and that is to confirm his candidacy for the congressional board of directors.
This information has also been confirmed by the acciopopulist Arriola, who pointed out: “In the end there will be two lists, after the third option that was thought with Dr. Echaíz is ruled out, only Camones will go and we understand that Héctor Acuña’s list should be there.”
In this sense, the party’s spokesperson, Ruth Luque, has indicated that its objective is form an attractive board of directors for Parliament.
Arriola agrees on this, since he confirmed for this medium that from the bench of People’s Action A candidate for the board of directors had been appointed to accompany Acuña in the presentation of the list.
This parliamentarian is Marleny Portero, from the Lambayeque region, and has been defined by the party to gain access to a space at the congressional table, and according to the acciopopulist congressman, it would represent the intention of the parliamentary group to “opt for a center option.”
Another bench that could also join this parliamentary group would be that of Peru Bicentennial. About this Jorge Coayla expressed himself, who in conversations with The Republicpointed out that his bench would opt for an option “close to the leftist parties in Congress”but they are still in a conversation process.

“Who could be on a list is Esdras Medina, and let’s see, if he has any chance, it’s up to him to accept. It is a negotiation that he has been accepting, but we are going to take it from the Popular Renovation label ”, Ciccia pointed out.
The congressman said that, for his part, he would be willing to vote on a list in which his caucus partner participates. “If he goes on a list, obviously you have to support him, if we have been working for years with the same line of Popular Renewal, at least I think so, but we will have to see the lists first”, he concluded.

A weekend of talks
Given this still uncertain panorama, it should be noted that there are other benches that are in talks to get a position within the Board of Directors.
That is the case of the benches of We are Peru in which, according to Congressman Alfredo Azorín, A meeting between its members has not yet been held to decide whether they support either of the two lists, or in any case, form a possible third option, which could be promoted by Renovación Popular in an effort not to be left out of the presidency.
These dialogues between spokespersons and benches will continue throughout the weekend and may finally be resolved on Monday the 25th with the presentation of the congressional lists.
