The Dominican Association of Art Historians (ADHA), announces its first “Scientific Day of Art History”, to be held on November 19 and 20 virtually.
This first edition of the event will be dedicated to the Dominican historian Emilio Rodríguez Demorizi. The central theme will be “The role of the art historian in the current context”, for which a call is made to specialists interested in developing texts under this line of research.
According to a press release from the ADHA, those interested in participating must send the justification for their presentation, which will be reviewed by a scientific committee that will make the selection.
“The paper must be submitted before August 15, 2022, without exceeding three pages, including the title of the paper, keywords, objectives, methods and research techniques,” explained the ADHA, while specifying that should send the material to the email address [email protected]
In addition, the note explains that the institution will select 4 papers and will announce them on August 20, 2022.
Regarding the general requirements for the presentation of the papers, the ADHA indicates that each work must contain at least 25 thousand characters in arial font, 12 points, justified with line spacing of one and a half spaces. Also, include images, notes and bibliography following the APA format. “It is necessary to present a summary of no more than half a page that includes keywords between three and five.

Regarding the date of receipt of presentations, the ADHA specified that these presentations will be received until September 30, 2022 and must be sent to the email address [email protected].
The note also announces that the presentation of the selected works will be on November 19, 2022 and each exhibitor will have 20 minutes to present their material, for which it recommends preparing an adapted version of approximately five pages for reading. Recognition and remuneration will be given for each text.
