PF arrests man with seven rifles on Presidente Dutra Highway

Federal Police agents arrested, this Friday (22), a 35-year-old man carrying seven rifles, a 9-millimeter (mm) pistol, as well as spare parts for a rifle and several magazines, inside the fuel tank. of a vehicle. According to the PF, the weapons would be brought to a community in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

The approach carried out by federal police officers from the Narcotics Repression Police Station (DRE/RJ) took place on the Presidente Dutra Highway, in the municipality of Piraí, in the south of Rio de Janeiro, located 89 km from the capital.

The prisoner was charged with the Federal Police Superintendence in Rio de Janeiro and will answer for the crime of illegal trade in firearms, whose penalty can reach 12 years in prison. From there, the prisoner was sent to the state prison system, where he will be at the disposal of justice, awaiting trial.
