The provinces on green alert are Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, San José de Ocoa, Monseñor Nouel, Greater Santo Domingo, Duarte, San Cristóbal, María Trinidad Sánchez, San Pedro de Macorís and Samaná.
The COE recommended that people refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have a high volume of water or use spas in the provinces under alert.

The report of the National Office of Meteorology (ONAMET), indicates that the abundant humidity and instability over our area, associated with the passage of a tropical wave located over Jamaica, are maintained; and by the presence of a valley to the north of the island.
