After seven years of waiting, the Sarmiento train will reactivate its service in the Buenos Aires cities 9 de Julio, Carlos Casares and Pehuajó, after making an inaugural trip today, authorities from the Ministry of Transport and Argentine Trains will participate in the act.
The service of the railway line It will depart from the Once station, in the Federal Capital, to the city of Pehuajó. In this branch the Sarmiento train It will also resume service at the intermediate stations of 9 de Julio and Carlos Casares.
This new route Sarmiento train It is achieved thanks to the reconditioning works that were carried out on the roadsstations and different areas of the route.
All this, within the framework of the Transport Modernization Plan, through which adaptations and improvements are planned in more than 100 stations, level crossings and signaling on all train lines, with a total investment of 130 million pesos. .
The 371-kilometer route to the Pehuajó station will also have intermediate stops in Haedo, Luján, Mercedes, Suipacha, Chivilcoy, A. Vaccarezza, Mechita, Bragado.
The first trip that the formation is going to make, the so-called white march, will be inaugurated by the Minister of Transport, Alexis Guerrera, and the president of Trenes Argentinos, Martín Marinucci.
From Trenes Argentinos they also announced that, in the remainder of the year, more long-distance services will be reactivated in all jurisdictions of the country, it will be promoted by tourism, the economy and employment.
How much will the ticket cost to Pehuajó
According to the authorities, the value of the ticket for the railway line will be, from Once to Pehuajó: $268; while from Once to Carlos Casares: $228; and from July 11 to 9: $192.
Ticket sales will be enabled in the coming days. Likewise, the transport company will announce the frequencies and schedules of the new route.
