A group of strangers carried out a trap on Thursday night to the vehicle in which the Undersecretary of Social Services was traveling, Francisca Perales, his driver and two other people. The crime occurred in the commune of Santiago.
Perales was returning home when a group of unknown persons -who were also traveling by car- intercepted the vehicle’s path, which happened at the intersection of Fray Camilo Henríquez and General Jofré streets.
The subjects – at least three, who had their faces covered – got out of their car and threatened the undersecretary and the people who were with her with firearms.
Perales and the other people did not offer resistance and got out of the vehicle. In this way, the assailants completed the robbery and fled.
After the event, Carabineros personnel transferred the head of Social Services to her home. No injuries were reported from the crime and at the moment there are no detainees.
The expert reports of the investigation were in charge of the Police Investigations Section (SIP) of Carabineros, of the 4th Police Station of Santiago.
