Maduro hints that some COVID-19 strains are used to manipulate

During your participation in version 20 of the Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), President Nicolás Maduro questioned whether the coronavirus is being used on some occasions to manipulate the population and the economy.

“Could it be that the powers of world capitalism and the world’s powerful media and laboratories sometimes they use some variants or some circumstances of the coronavirus to increase their profits, to manipulate public opinion, to manipulate the prices of some commodities, including the oil? ”Said Maduro.

The president stressed that these doubts arise because every time a new variant of the coronavirus appears, different sectors such as the stock market are seriously affected. At this point he recalled that “oil, in one day, went from 82 dollars a barrel to 56”.

Maduro concluded by rejecting unilateral sanctions against different countries in the region, which has aggravated the indices of inequality, poverty and unemployment that was already getting complicated in the region on behalf of the coronavirus pandemic.
