Members of the United States Coast Guard intercepted this Thursday a boat with about a hundred migrants sailing near the coast of Homestead, a town located south of Miami.
According to the coast guard, the migrants were intercepted aboard a sailboat that was near the vicinity of Cayo Boca Chita, an island that is part of Biscayne National Park and is in front of the Homestead air base, in the south. from Florida.

The authorities have not specified the total number of immigrants captured, but local media estimate the group to be at least a hundred, among whom there appear to be minors. As reported later, they come from Haiti.
The group is safe and in good condition aboard the sailboat, according to the US Coast Guard on its Twitter account.
As aerial footage from local television shows shows, the boat was surrounded by coast guard boats, which threw life jackets to the migrants for their safety.
Police and firefighters from Miami-Dade County also participated in the operation, as well as Marine and Air Operations agents from the Customs and Border Protection Office (CBP).
