Mincetur: Fuel supply will be regularized in the "next few days"

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Roberto Sánchez, indicated that the ports will be opened in the coming days, to facilitate the supply of in the country.

“In the next few days, the reopening of the ports that were temporarily closed due to abnormal waves that occurred in July is expected, which will allow the resumption of hydrocarbon loading and unloading activities, regularizing the availability of fuels in the country, so there would be no shortage”he pointed.

He stated that since July 6 “The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) authorized the use of the minimum stocks of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the Supply Plants, contributing to contribute to the normal supply of said product and the regular development of activities of its chain of supply to meet the requirements on a national scale”.

Regarding Turbo fuel, used mainly in transportation activities, the head of the Mincetur indicated that “The Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin) indicates in its latest report the availability of 107 MB stored in terminals and plants, and 25 MB stored in airports”.

Sánchez affirmed that the country has autonomy for more than 10 days, to which is added that the Minem has requested the verification of inventories in airports, for which the companies have been implementing mitigation measures in order to continue with an adequate supply of Turbo.
