The National Police ordered a “security alert” with the quartering of all the troops, in response to the Summit of Heads of State of Mercosur that will take place this Wednesday and Thursday in our country.
The Cryo. Main. María Elena Andrada, head of Public Relations of the National Police, commented to the SNT that the perimeter security in the vicinity of the places where the activities of the Mercosur Summit will take place is in charge of said institution.
For this reason, a significant deployment of police officers has been carried out in the area of the Conmebol Convention Center and in other parts of Luque and Asunción where the authorities participating in the activity will be mobilizing mostly.
It should be remembered that several heads of state, accompanied by their respective delegations, will be participating in the Mercosur Summit, which will take place in person on July 20 and 21 in our country.
Andrada also mentioned that as part of this deployment, traffic could also be affected at certain times in the section that goes from the Silvio Pettirossi Airport to Conmebol, in view of the arrival of the different official delegations.
