The dollar was trading this Tuesday with a slight drop in the local exchange market after a week of strong rise, and in a day of decline of the currency at a global level.
The currency was trading this midday at $42.01 in the wholesale average, according to data from the Electronic Stock Exchange, with a small decrease compared to $42.116 on Friday.
For its part, on the BROU board, the dollar was offered at $40.9 for purchase and $43.10 for sale, with a drop of 40 hundredths compared to the last settlement.
At regional level, in Brazilthe dollar traded down 0.72% to 5.397 reais per unit.
Globally, the dollar index which measures the value of the US dollar against a basket of foreign currencies fell 0.77% to 106.39 units.
In Argentina the Dolar blue still going up this tuesday. With an increase of 3 pesos, it stood at 289 pesos for the purchase and 294 pesos for sale, with which it widens the gap to more than 127% with respect to the wholesale official exchange rate, and around 116% in relation to the retail average.
