A business that moves millions and generates many sources of work is that of flowers, and now that is being replicated with orchids. Floricultura del Paraguay SA is an enterprise that unites the beauty and attractiveness of these ornamental plants with the possibility of offering genuine jobs and supporting national producers.
This Tuesday, the company Floricultura del Paraguay inaugurated a modern nursery dedicated to the cultivation, production and marketing of orchids. The property consists of 3,000 m2 and is located on San Cayetano Street, almost San Francisco, in the Loma Merlo neighborhood, city of Luque.
The young Chiara Capdevila is in charge of the project, whose main objective is the production of orchids, laboratory and greenhouse construction, introducing new varieties to the country.

“It is the realization of a dream that has an emotional background, the close relationship between Taiwan and Paraguay that gave opportunity to young entrepreneurs,” said the director of this important national private investment.
The entrepreneur pointed out that the goal is to strengthen cooperation ties and provide an opportunity for producers to obtain new markets. In addition to incorporating flowers as an important export item.
The new greenhouse, the largest in Paraguay, will initially have a production capacity of 100,000 orchids per year.

The inauguration was presided over by the former President of the Republic, Horacio Cartes, and Luis Chou, head of the Taiwan Technical Mission, considering that this project has the support of the Taiwanese government.
At one point in her opening speech, Chiara Capdevila highlighted the great support provided by Cartes to this long-awaited project.

In turn, the former president expressed his complete gratitude to Taiwan for its cooperation with our country. “This is a tribute to the sister republic, I cannot forget how much help they provided during my administration, this is one of the many examples that can be done in the country, it is a more sophisticated nursery than is thought,” he celebrated.
The former president and businessman indicated that this project is only the starting point for others to come and that will allow us to continue innovating.
