The National Police of Peru (PNP) reported which roads are blocked by unions of heavy cargo carriers and farmers who abide by a national strike for the second consecutive day this Tuesday, July 19.
Through a statement, the Police reported that it has been carrying out preventive work to clear, maintain and restore them, prioritizing dialogue with carriers in order to avoid the social cost.
What are the roads blocked at the national level?
According to the PNP, the roads blocked until 09:30 a.m. are the following:
- Puno/ Juliaca (km 04 – 11 Independence bridge of the Juliaca – Cusco road network.
- Piura/ Marcavelica (km 1063 highway Sullana – Tambogrande Sullana – Piura).
- Piura/ Marcavelica (km 1051 highway Sullana – Tambogrande Pedregal Tambogrande village Sullana – Piura).
- Piura/ Marcavelica (km 1063 highway Sullana – Tambogrande Pedregal Tambogrande village Sullana – Piura).
- Piura/ Las Lomas (km 1082+200 Piura – Tambogrande road.
- Piura/ Las Lomas (km 1087+200 Piura – Tambogrande road.
- Piura/ Las Lomas (km 1099+800 Piura – Tambogrande road.
- Piura/ Las Lomas (km 1069+500 Piura – Tambogrande highway.
It should be noted that most of the roads are blocked by heavy cargo carriers and farmers who protest the increase in fuel prices and demand chemical inputs and fertilizers, according to the PNP.
What are the restricted routes at the national level?
- Ayacucho/Huamanga (km 317 highway Ayacucho – Lima).
- Puno/Juliaca (km. 293, Chullunquiani sector of the Juliaca Arequipa road network.
